November could be called one of the worst months of the year. From my work getting atrociously hectic to my husband suffering from dengue, everything seemed to overwhelm me to no end.

And by the end of the month, I realised that it had been weeks since I even witnessed my beloved sunset or had a proper deep sleep. I’m always tired, mentally exhausted, and desperately trying to get back together.

One thing I know for sure now? I deliver horribly under pressure. I need my own time and pace to give the best results.

So this month is all about slowing down life for me. Trying to live in the moment, instead of getting overwhelmed. Consciously try to fall into a deeper sleep by calming my mind down before bed, and making the best of my life before the new year begins.

The 1st of December marked one of the most spectacular sunsets I’ve ever witnessed from my terrace. It felt truly amazing and felt like the world was also with me in trying to live my life.

Thursday, I saw a bee peacefully sitting on our water tank on our terrace. I thought it was a bee, and my husband thought it was a bug or something. No idea. But it definitely looked fascinating! Lying on its own. There was a point where I even thought it was dead since it did not move for at least 10 min. But all of a sudden, we witnessed its take off onto the wonderful world, in search of newer adventures.

We went out for drinks after ages on Friday night. And I got fascinated by the steps which looked like a swing from afar. With the surrounding lights, they looked ethereal!

But the low light caused the bad quality of the photo. I hope you approve.

Saturday was again spent on work. Writing, editing, and content strategy for a friend’s startup. She had come home to shoot the videos for the website (vision, mission etc.) since my house had a great patio setup. The whole day went on the same.

This was our workplace, with tons of chai cups.

Sunday evening consisted of us drinking white wine, with beautiful fairy lights at home. With soothing music going on in the background. I hadn’t felt that calm in months…and this was the time my wish to truly slow down and experience every moment of my life got established in my heart.

Clicked this photo while sitting on my balcony having slow sips of chamomile tea. The early morning dew had brightened the greenery around me. My neighbours above had recently adopted a couple of birds as pets.

Tea. Greenery. Bird Sounds. Seemed like the perfect combination ever. It was then I noticed the white spots on the leaves. While it wasn’t good for the plant, and I had to clean in case of bugs, it definitely made a good picture.

Yesterday, I missed taking the photo throughout the day due to work. And ended up looking out the balcony to capture something for the last day of the week. And immediately the lights on the road caught my eye.

There’s obviously no story behind this one. I liked it. I captured it. That’s it:)

That’s my week of photos. It’s been great to follow this community and get to know the day-to-day lives of everyone here. With each story, I get more and more fascinated and learn tons from you. So thank you. Sometimes I miss out on reading some of your pieces, but I’ll try to keep up henceforth. So again, thank you, Dennett, for creating such a wonderful community!
